It's easy to use but one must get the recipe right. Another review has already done this but it does depend on the size of your egg. Use one egg first, and then if the flour is dry add an extra egg yoke. Also if you are using this machine for the first time I strongly suggest that you make your initial pasta batch and put this through the rollers a few times and then through the cutters then chuck the dough away. No matter what the instructions state there is metallic residue on the machine when first bought. Once this is done, the machine is clean.
