“Weigh and store bags.
”
by Lady Rhodes James
I use these all the time but I have one small problem - in shops that require you to weigh the produce and then put a sticky label on to the bag it is impossible to get the label to adhere to the mesh. Would it be possible to have a panel somewhere on the bag to which the label would stick? I usually stick the labels on to my hand but this is not very satisfactory! Regards Angela Rhodes James

“Fabulous bags
”
by Julia
I think these are fantastic...I have never had a problem with the zips. I am known in my local supermarket as the lady with the Lakeland bags and all the checkout girls think they are great. The only down side is that I could do with a bigger size!!

“Nice bags, shame about the zips!
”
by Dilys Delarue
I purchased these bags when first produced by Lakeland and, at the time, Lakeland stated this was a 'one-off' offer and wouldn't be available again. So I purchased 2 sets of 6, still haven't used the second set. I am pleased to see they are available again. Like most of your reviewers, I think these are an excellent idea and also find check-out staff and other customers asking where I got them from and am happy to tell them Lakeland. And, like many others, I was very disappointed when a couple of the zips broke after only a few uses. As I live on my own, they are never over-filled so the zips are not strained. The zips are far too flimsy for their purpose and need to be more substantial. However, I would not be without them now.

“broken zips
”
by Ms Shirley Lorimer
I too have these bags which I have had for some time now. I have also experienced the same problem with the zips bursting when full of produce. I have had lots of checkout assistants asking me "are these your own bags" and then "where can I get some". These are a fab idea as I am addicted to recycling but the zips need to be stronger. Surprised to read the review regarding the additional cost of produce by using the bags - will check this out next grocery shop.

“But where does the price label go?
”
by Debbie Dawes
In some supermarkets you are encouraged to weigh your produce before you get to the check-out. I think these bags are a great idea but think they could be improved further by having a small panel at the top where the price label could be attached, ensuring that it doesn't get lost at the bottom of the bags. Also, as pointed out in other reviews, the zips are not particularly sturdy. A couple of mine have broken.

“weigh& store bags
”
by Mr Goswell
every time I shop i receive positive comments regarding my weigh & store bags, and i always tell people where i bought them. the bags are big, light & survive the washing machine. the only complaint is that one of the zips broke, but this may have been due to too many apples being added to the bag.

“Good but pricey
”
by Margaret
I thought these bags were brilliant until a cashier decided to weigh my fruit & veg loose. It cost 2p more per bag to use the weigh & store bags than the plastic bags provided. Over time this will mount up. I now use the supermarket bags & recycle them. Sorry!

“Great idea, shame about the zips
”
by Cass
This is a good idea and the bags are breathable and sturdy. But the zips on three of the six bags broke almost immediately.

What a shame that a brilliant idea is spoilt by the zip which is stuck in the closed position making the bag completely useless!

“Weigh & STore bags
”
by Mrs Murray
I purchased two packs of these having tried to find alternatives to the plastic bags that supermarkets provide for a long time. Have only used one pack so far but two of the zips broke on the first use. The bags were not overpacked as most of the time I only shop for my husband and myself - so was slightly disappointed. I like them - perhaps an alternative to the zips would be a good idea!!

“Great idea
”
by Mrs Moore
I bought these a few months ago and have been using them weekly to store all my loose fruit and veg. They are a great idea and I always get very positive comments when I am at the till and people ask me where they can get them. One thing though, two of them have come apart at the seams, almost like they have become unstitched. I don't overfill them as usually only 3 or 4 items in each bag so not sure if it was just bad luck. Perhaps the stitching could be made a bit stronger to prevent this from happening.

“Saving the planet... one bag at a time
”
by Natalie Fey
I bought these bags earlier this year to put my new year's resolution of using fewer plastic bags into practice. And it has been going well, as these are now used to carry home my loose veg, especially onions, which are much cheaper loose than pre-packaged. They also get me talking to checkout staff and fellow customers, who are all very jealous and looking slightly sheepish at using lots of plastic bags. Now he's spotted an opportunity to claim the moral highground, my husband will make sure we bring them along for every shop... ;-) I am happy to recommend these little bags, with only one little reservation. You know when you weigh your shopping and print a little sticky label? Well, they don't stick to these bags, so if there is ever going to be re-design, please can we have an area for sticky labels? Not too good, mind you, so the stickers come off again and the bags can be reused. In the meantime, if you fold them over, the labels usually stay near the bags, at least until after the goods have been paid for.

“Fantastic idea!
”
by HELEN WILCOCK
I can't praise these bags highly enough! What a fantastic idea. I was also a little nervous the first time I used them at the supermarket - but needn't have worried, everyone thought they were wonderful. I now also transfer any pre-packed veg into these bags to go in the fridge, as they stop them getting 'sweaty'. The bags are very roomy and the zip fastenings easy to use.

“More than one use
”
by Ms Sheila Topham
These are really useful in the supermarket and it's amazing how many fewer plastic bags I'm throwing out. They have another use too - if you like the sort of bath bombs that have seaweed, flower petals etc in them, you'll be familiar with the blocked plughole afterwards. To avoid this, simply pop the bath bomb in one of these bags and drop it in the bath. Hey presto, all the nice essential oils dissolve into the water but the bits stay in the bag. Let it dry and then turn it inside out over the bin to empty the bits.

“brilliant
”
by Marilyn Allen
These bags are just great. Cashiers are impressed when I insist that items are not removed for weighing. They cause quite a stir with other shoppers, they want some. I recommend that they look at Lakeland website as nearest shop is too far away.

“Forward thinking
”
by Lorraine
Not only do I find the bags extremely useful, but despite my fears, there has been no problem at the checkouts. In fact, enquiries from the cashiers.where did I get the from. My husband is also impressed!
