Kenwood Prospero

I bought this product and have found it so easy to use. All the extra attachments are things that I would not have bought separately but as they came with the product I thought I would give them a go. I must say, they are fantastic!! I would definitely recommend this product to any home baker. Easy to use and very compact. Love it!!

Kenwood Prospero

I recently took delivery of my Kenwood Prospero and am absolutely delighted with it and with the service I received from the staff at Lakeland. Living in Greece sometimes makes buying things from UK difficult and expensive but with their excellent customer service everything went through swiftly and without any stress. Thank you. I found the DVD in particular very useful in getting to know the machine and I know I'm going to get many happy hours of use out of my new Kenwood Prospero.

Kenwood Prospero

My first Kenwood was bought for me by my husband in 1973 and lasted until a couple of years ago, but the catch broke and it was unusable. I bought the Kenwood Prospero because I trusted the make and it's just a perfect size for my now smaller kitchen. The attachments are ideal though I haven't used the juicer yet (hence 4 stars). This product name for me is both tried and tested. Thank you Lakeland for a well priced item which I love and I feel sure will probably outlast me!!

Kenwood Prospero

I bought a prospero 3 years ago and thought it was fantastic, until it started to smell of burning when on high speeds, I put it down to not been used much and dust maybe settling in it until it started to not work when first turned on, but going when tried again, then it stopped altogether. I looked on Lakeland website to see how much they sell them for and spotted a review from a lady who had the same problem. I e-mailed Lakeland, not expecting anything, and they offered to replace it or refund me as I still had receipt. I of course chose a replacement and had no probs. THANKYOU LAKELAND XX

Kenwood Prospero

I love the size of this machine, it fits very neatly into the corner of my kitchen, and is an ideal size for my needs and on the whole it does a good job. I've used the food processor occasionally and am happy with that once I worked out how to use it, but I use it mainly for the mixer, making bread and cakes and sometimes it tends to be rather rattly, nothing like as sturdy as the fullsize mixer my mother has. Also and I'm wondering if this is a serious problem - but when I put the mixer on full power, there is a strong smell of overheating. I noticed this when I first bought it 2 years ago, and thought maybe it was because it was new, but it still does it now and so I'm reluctant to use it high speeds. I'm wondering whether this is a common issue and nothing to worry about or whether it is a fault with the machine. Update: As a result of my review, Lakeland recalled my faulty machine and replaced it with a new one and although I've only used it once so far, it does not have the above fault, and I'm happy with the replacement and the service Lakeland provided. So my rating goes up from 3 to 5 stars.

Kenwood Prospero

I recently bought the Prospero as I have a small kitchen and not much space. It has more than lived up to expectations and done all I require. I would thoroughly recommend it as a good all round machine and value for money.

Kenwood Prospero

I wanted a mixer but also a food processor and this fits the bill. I have used all the attachments except the dough hook and citrus press and all have lived up to expectations. The only problem I have with it is the annoying splash guard. It is fiddly to place onto the bowl properly and as a result in my first use I cracked it. As I have got used to using it though, I am learning which recipes actually need the splash guard fitted and have learned most don't so this really isn't a great issue.

Kenwood Prospero

I bought this mixer only last month, after reading the reviews on the website. After using it now almost a dozen times I felt I had to add my comments! The mixer is great, it has made several brilliant pavlovas, cakes and scones. The attachments are also good, the liquidiser is used lots by my son to make milkshakes, whilst the citrus press is great for juices. Overall a fantastic product, which has the right amount of extras, but doesn't take up too much room in the kitchen
