Freezer Shield

Ordered this for our freezer - but when it arrived, we couldn't make sense of the instructions.
So we phoned Lakeland customer service, who say it is not for freezers, but for freezer compartments of fridges. I'm sure it's great for that purpose, but don't make the same mistake we did.
It's most unlike Lakeland to describe their products confusingly, but in the description above the word 'freezer' appears six times, and 'freezer compartment' only once.
Because of this, I can't really give a fair star rating: three seems to be about in the middle!

This sounded an ideal product for my"bottom of fridge-freezer problem",but having followed the instructions to the letter, within days ice had built up on top of, but also underneath,the shield. I think part of the problem is that the bottom of my freezer has quite distinct ridges as part of the design and,although I tried to tuck the shield in to the ridges it was almost impossible to do so.There was no "not suitable for" warning on the box.It was just about possible to clean the ice from on top of the (now ridged) shield, but quite impossible to remove ice from underneath.

This is a real gem. I only have a small ice box in my fridge, but it ices up very, very quickly and I used to have to scrape out the ice every week. After fitting the mat, I've found that the ice does not build up so frequently and the added bonus is that the bottom of the freezer just needs a wipe over to remove the ice. Obviously, the ice still builds up overhead, but it does much the task of defrosting so much quicker and easier. Reasonably priced too.
