Kenwood Induction Hob
Ask anyone who's got an induction hob and you'll find it difficult to keep them quiet! As you can see, Kenwood's cooking plate is compact and sleek... clever too because it detects the saucepan, only heating the area that has contact with the pan's base. Together with the fact that food is heated up more quickly, thismakes induction cooking very economical compared to gas or electric. Sure to be a godsend in smaller kitchens, caravans, boats, or any home where an extra tabletop cooker would come in handy, say when entertaining.
Further features include:
- 6 power settings from simmer to boil
- easy-clean, ceramic glass plate
- 120 minute timer
- boil-dry protection and auto shut-off.
(Please check your saucepans are suitable for induction hobs.)

Fed up of Microwave meals at lunch through winter, i bought this from Eastbourne store to use in our office, and it is thoughly loved......fry-ups- omelettes to soups and stews.....much more exciting lunches@work, lightweight, modern styling, heats up quickly, and is very safe, as the surface cools quickly after use, being inductiononly the bit of surface, which is in contact with the pan is heated, my friend borrowed it for her caravan and loved it, would recommend this, am buying a second one for my son at college.

This thing is as good as it gets. Fantastic heating (brings a large pasta pot to the boil in just a few minutes) and excellent design.
You do need to understand the principles of induction cooking before you begin (and unfortunately the instructions don't do much on that front) or you'll burn your food and not understand how to regulate the temperature.
The hob itself, however, is fantastic. I couldn't be happier with it!

We purchased ours for the caravan but decided to use it at home. Easy to use, clean, lightweight, does everything a hob can do, fries, simmers, boils. My son is a long distance lorry driver and says one would be useful to use in his cab, safer than using a portable gas stove. The fact that it is so light weight and easy to move about is a big help. We have not used our hob since we purchased ours. It is ideal for table top cooking and would be good if guests came round. A great piece of equipment for someone with a small kitchen, in student accommodation or in a bedsit.
