Vegan cakes are a bit more difficult to tell if they are done. I had a lot of under cooked cakes until I found this cake tester. When the cake has reached right temperature the stick turns red. Tip to make a vegan cake replace 1 egg with - 1 tbsp chia seeds and 60 ml liquid of your choice, it can be fruit juice, vegan milk. Replace butter with same about of good quality oil - sunflower, hemp, coconut. Try a gluten free flour mix. and you have lovely health cakes. (they are of course still high in calories, but not saturate fat so people with high cholesterol can have moderate portions too)
