A blender plus” by Kirstine Oswald
This is more than a blender. The mincer attachment is really a small food processor and is very useful for chopping up, for example, a single garlic clove or blending together parsley and butter. You need to use a deep receptacle when using this device as it can throw the liquid or solid being processed out of a shallow one-use the slower speed. It's also great for finishing off a soup to get it really smooth. The other attachment that I use frequently is the little grinder bowl. It far better than most food processors in grinding nuts finely without them becoming oily. It's a boon for breaking down lumps in icing sugar to a fine powder. You don't need to wash it-just use a pastry brush to clean it out. My only criticism of the device is that the wand part cannot be removed for washing. I half fill a jug with soapy water and whiz it and then rinse with hot water.
Absolutely brilliant” by Jane Cromey-Hawke
I replaced my old 15 year old Bamix with this model and have nothing but praise for it. It is so easy to clean - you don't have to dismantle it, just run it under the hot tap - and is permanently next to the hob and used daily, especially for pureeing soups. The mini grinder is perfect for making ginger/garlic pastes for curries, or breadcrumbs, or grinding granulated sugar into caster or icing sugar. If you whip your eggs with the beater blade, you end up with a souffle omelette. I am amazed that this device has received any negative reviews as, to my mind, it is the best gadget in my kitchen.
Always at hand” by Mrs King
I love my Bamix De Luxe. As a keen curry cook, it is indispensable, especially it's grinder attachment, for chopping the small quantities of spices, ginger and garlic often required in a curry. When making cakes, chopping nuts is a breeze. It is very easy to wash, which is lucky because you can't put it in the dishwasher. The mincer purees soup in seconds. I don't seem to have used either the beater or whisker so much, so can't comment on them.
