“Perfect !

Excellent cake box. Sturdy and well built with a solid handle, so no fear of the box opening or the handle breaking. I have tried other boxes and either the locking mechanism or handle is flimsy. As with all lock & lock products they are air and water tight. I wish they'd make a smaller one as well for smaller cakes.

Looks good. Bought with cake tray (why discontinued?). Will find it v useful for transporting cakes & for Christmas cakes. I like the tray at the bottom.

I bought this solely on the recommendation of the reviews here, and I am not disappointed. It's a good size, easily opened and closed and perfect for gateaux or celebration cakes. The only problem is storing the box when not in use, but I'll find somewhere!

“Rubbish!!

How annoying I used it for our anniversary cake it was most disappointing not at all airtight and the cake did not keep fresh, have since plunged it into a sink full of water and it's not watertight either. Waited a long time to get one and what a waste of money.

This item is one of those that you don't know how useful it is untill you have got it. I visit a relative that lives about 60 miles away. She loves my baking and so I make her cakes and things and it is so easy just to put the cake in the Lock & Lock and it is safe. I love it. Thank you

“Cake Store

I brought this only a month ago but already its become something I couldn't do without, it held a large a Easter cake I had made for my Granddaughter (with bunnys on top)it sat flat on the floor of the car. and the cake was in perfect condition when we arrived at her house. I will use it to take a cakes to our caravan, and in the summer when we have family BBQ's it will hold a good sized Pavlova. It will also be perfect for the Christmas Cake.

“Cake Store

An absolute must for anyone who bakes, especially if cakes need transporting. So much easier to get access to a large & decorated cake than traditional cake tins. I have only had this for a few months & I don't know how I ever managed without it.

“brilliant box's !

I bought this for storing my christmas cake, and although i thought it was a bit pricey i am so glad i got it because it is a good size and quality and as i have limited kitchen space now christmas has gone i store my cake tins in it on top of my kitchen cupboards out of the way, keeping them clean and tidy. pricey or not i have just purchased another one as they are so good as are all the lock and lock products. There are cheaper ranges out there but i have found that you do get what you pay for in terms of sizes shapes and quality. Well worth the money these seem to be made for a lifetime !

Absolutely wonderful! It does exactly what it says - although I couldn't say how long it could keep the cake fresh for as it didn't last more than 3 days! However even after 3 days the sponge was still soft and moist and the icing wasn't hard. Would definitely recommend as it is sturdy and very easy to carry.

“Fantastic

Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Have used this to transport cakes to a number of events, including a 90th birthday cake which had to travel from Lincoln to Manchester. Some of the cakes have been quite elaborate, and all have arrived safely. Practical to use and clean. Keeps cakes fresh. Very highly recommended. One of the best things I have bought.

“Best thing I have ever bought

I love the cake store. It really does keep my cakes fresh and shows them of too! I've used it to store cup cakes, quiches (in the summer) and my Christmas cake is now in there. Just brilliant and very well made.

I bought this caddy and the other one (3 different trays one), to take cupcakes / cake. This one is the perfect size, and good to carry many cupcakes. Easy to wash, very stable, nice one. (I returned the other one for refund)

This item is fantastic, it is in constant use, I have the divider as well, so I can store two cakes at a time. Worth every penny, could not do without it. Would recommend. 5 STAR ITEM.

“I love it already!

This afternoon I baked three banana loaves and a batch of chocolate fairy cakes. I couldn't believe that the two 1lb and one 2lb loaves fitted into the bottom layer and the 15 fairy cakes fitted onto the top tier - something that would have taken at least three boxes previously. I only bought this a few days ago, this is the first time I've used it and I love it already!

Really sturdy, has had so many comments about it's professionalism, very easy to use. Could perhaps come with a second tier/ shelf so you can carry more cookies/ cupcakes, as a design suggestion.

“Extremely handy box!

I always find transporting my baked goods a challenge, as they can get a bit messy without a proper size box. I bought this product some time back from Lakeland, and during a family gathering, brought my muffins out after packing them in aluminium foil (to minimize movement) - the box kept them looking pretty, and everyone commented how useful and handy the box was. Very smart for presentation, either at house parties or picnics. The only thing I do not like about it is that it is bulky, but there's really no way around that - storage for cakes have always been rather bulky, but at least, this one has a deep lid, which does not interfere with the cake decoration. This is a handy product to have around - because when you need it, you'll be well pleased to have it and not have to panic about disturbing the frosting on your cakes during transportation!

“Great for large cake
”

I've had this for years and is great for large cakes and is used constantly. I also now have the additional tier which is great. However, I would like the same but perhaps half the height for smaller not so high cakes. Great for transporting and like all lock & lock items, is very strong and well made.
