“Not easy to use
”
by cathy
I bought this masher because I thought the silicone coating would protect my non stick pans and it does BUT the silicone blunts the masher's ability to mash and I have to use a fair amount of force to achieve a smooth mash. I think I'll probably end up cutting off the silicone covering!

“Quite simply brilliant
”
by Nicky
This has to be the best masher I have ever used. Not only is it really comfortable to use but it can be used with non-stick pans and the side scrapers actually work. Wouldn't be without mine.

“Great!
”
by Ms Paul
Bought this after having gone through two cheaper versions which made my hand ache too much to finish the job! This one, however, is great. Haven't had any problem with it coming apart, it feels sturdy as you use it and doesn't wear my hand/arms out! As another reviewer said, the handle is thick so cannot hang with my other utensils, but would still highly recommend to others. Easy to use, does a good job, easy to clean - what more can you ask for!

“(s)Mashing!
”
by Gareth
Used in a high-sided pan (treat your spuds to a good boiling in a pasta pan) this is just brilliant. Two minutes of mashing (using the side scraper to bring any escaping potato back to the fold) and it's as smooth as silk. It's about time a masher had a proper handle to grab hold of! Buy one NOW!!!

“oxo potato masher
”
by Mrs Newall
Love Lakeland products so was surprised at how disappointed I was with this. To compound my disappointment as I mashed said potatoes the masher handle collapsed completely, and my hand ended up in the hot mash. Fortunately I have very understanding friends and family who didn't mind a bit of me in the mash!!I have had the masher less than a year and have always found it difficult to use. I am sure you at lakeland will put this right. It certainly has not put me off buying your products.

“Not best of the best, but not the worst either!
”
by Mrs Gamby
I've had this masher for a while now, but never used it, I don't know why, just never have, anyway the other day I thought I'd make Mash for the kids, and I made it using this masher, the handle for me personally was a bit heavy and my wrist started hurting after about 5 mins of mashing, the mash turned out a bit lumpy and bumpy, even though I mashed the life out of it... it didn't end up as smooth as creamy as it does when I usually make it with a whisk. But it was easy to use and clean, and I would use it again, and the kids ate the mash up with no complaint's, which made me less stressed than I normally am at t-time.. So yeah not a bad product all in all.

“Good mash but messy
”
by Karen
I have had this masher for about 6 months & I think its great & generally easy to use. The only downside is I find it very messy as the potato gets pushed up the sides of the masher and can come out of the pan! I hope that if a new version is made the sides will be flat.

“No use to us
”
by Moira Baker
We decided to try this potato masher as we do love mashed potatoes. However, we use quite a deep pot which means your hand gets burned with the steam whilst trying to mash. We are back to our old favourite long handled one.

“What a shame!!!
”
by Mrs myers
My husband and I thought this product was fantastic - All those years of pain were gone. This masher is so "hand friendly". BUT unfortunately (as mentioned by others) the thing just falls apart!!! The sides come out of the handle whilst you are mashing. Great idea - just needs alittle more work spent on the design.

“Not good
”
by Mrs doggett
I bought this masher thinking how sturdy it was and would be useful for my now weak hand, and it is. The problem is after a few uses it kept falling apart! So it is stuffed at the back of the cupboard and we use a cheap one.

“Sturdy Masher
”
by Wendy
Easy to use, mashes well and quickly and the product is sturdy. My only criticism is that the potato comes up the side of the fins, which makes it messy. As the masher gets right up to the sides of the pan anyway I think it would work just as well without the fins.

“Disappointed
”
by Donna
I was so looking forward to using this mashers as all of the others hurt my hand. Initially, it was great, really comfortable to grip, and good at mashing. I found the 'fins' a little cumbersome but I felt this was a small sacrifice for comfort. However, the problem was that as soon as I started to mash, the arms would come away from the handle and drives me mad! I don't know if this happens to everyone or if it is just that mine is faulty but I can no longer use it as a result.

“Really Great Masher
”
by Deborah
Just used this to make mash for a shepherds pie, its the best masher I have used. It needs only little effort to make perfect smooth mash. Love it.

“Works well
”
by Caroline
Comfortable to use, and effective. I find it slightly difficult to store, but that's the only downside.

“Comfy & quiet!
”
by Jane
At last a masher that doesn't hurt my hands, and its quiet too! - thanks to the silicone covering, which is also gentle on pans, has side scrapers on the arms, and is easy to clean.

“A good buy
”
by Yemi
I've had mine for over a while now and it's fantastic. After my old style masher's bottom bit fell out, and was always getting clogged up, this is a breath of fresh air. It's comfy, neat and strong. I use it to mash yam, which is thicker than potato. The only set back is the thick handle though being handy, makes it hard to hang on a rack. Still, I won't have it any other way.
